DefectDojo Pro includes a global search that looks across your Findings and related objects. It is backed by native Postgres full-text search with fuzzy, typo-tolerant matching, so you can find an object without remembering its exact wording.

The Sidebar Menu

The DefectDojo Pro sidebar is the application shell: it runs the full height of the window and carries the brand, the search field, the menu, and a footer. The footer ends with your account row: your username, your email address under it, and the alerts bell beside them. Above that row, where they apply to your instance and account, sit a What’s New button while a release has highlights you have not opened (see What’s New) and a button that says whether you are in Production or the Sandbox and switches to the other. Your username opens the account menu just above the row: User Profile, API v2 Token (when your instance has API tokens enabled), the API docs, External Tools and Documentation, then your preferences (Language, with the language in use shown beside it, when your instance offers more than one, and the switch between light and dark mode), then Logout. When the sidebar is collapsed to its icon strip, each of these becomes an icon in one column, with its name on hover. There is no separate top bar on desktop; on phones and small windows the sidebar becomes a drawer behind a top-bar menu button.

Default Landing Page

Your Default Landing Page is the page DefectDojo Pro opens after you sign in. Set it on your User Profile page: select your username at the bottom of the sidebar, then User Profile, and find the field under Signing In.

Menu Badges

Entries in the DefectDojo Pro sidebar can carry a small coloured tag. Each one answers a different question about the feature it sits beside, and two of them are links.

Customizing Tables

Most data tables in the DefectDojo Pro UI (Findings, Assets, Engagements, and the other list views) can be tailored to how you work. You can choose which columns are visible, reorder them, adjust their widths, and save any combination as a named table preference that you can switch between or share with your team.

Note: Customizable Page Layouts are a DefectDojo Pro feature. Layout customization is available by default. An administrator can restrict it so that everyone sees a standard layout: see When customization is restricted.

In-App Walkthroughs

A walkthrough guides you through the Pro UI one area at a time. Each step outlines part of the page and dims everything else, and a small card beside the outline says what the area is for. Only the outlined area and the card respond to clicks while a step is showing, so nothing else on the page can be changed by accident.

Keyboard Shortcuts

DefectDojo Pro answers to a small set of keyboard shortcuts. Press ? on any page to open the Keyboard Shortcuts sheet, which lists the keys the current page answers to, followed by the keys of areas that are not on the page (under On Other Pages). Press ? again, or Esc, to close it.
